The Marquee Club
The Theatre’s “Marquee Club” for young professionals is a group dedicated to cultivating a more vibrant and connected cultural community. Members are committed to perpetuating a new generation of Theatre patrons and contributors to gain a higher understanding of performing arts while supporting Decatur’s Historic Princess Theatre.
Founded in 2005, the mission of the Marquee Club is to advance the educational and cultural efforts of the local community by providing social and charitable opportunities for young patrons to discover Decatur, while embracing its artistic potential. Contributions and fundraising efforts of the group benefit both the Princess Theatre and the community as a whole in many ways. Primarily, the tax-deductible contributions aid the organization in planning and hosting social, as well as cultural events exposing members to the downtown historic site itself, and various other areas of the city. This stimulating mix of volunteer, artistic and educational activities is designed to expose young professionals to enlightening cultural and performing arts in a vibrant social environment.
