The Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts is proud to offer a Professional Training Lab for artists and educators. This workshop (valued at $450) is being offered free of charge thanks to grant funding provided by the Alabama State Department of Education. This Professional Training Lab includes elements of Moment Work and Viewpoints. This is a creativity class for performers of all disciplines, playwrights, directors and designers. The class will be led by professional teaching artist Gleason Bauer. 

 GLEASON BAUER is both a theatre educator and an award-winning hybrid theatre artist – director/designer/playwright/producer/actor. She received her BA in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, where she was introduced to contemplative education, while focusing on devising and directing original material.
Prior to graduate school, Gleason was the Artistic Director of Zoo District, a multi-award winning LA theatre company that she helped found in 1997. In addition to her work at Marlborough, where she is currently the Performing Arts Department Producing Artistic Director and Department Head, Gleason has also performed, devised, designed, produced, taught and/or directed with: square product theatre, Tectonic Theatre Project, Watts Village Theatre Company, Man Bites Dog, the New York Clown Theatre Festival, Theatre of NOTE, Sacred Fools, We Tell Stories, the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, the Dalton School, North Carolina Governor’s School, Johnston Community College, Manhattan Theatre Club, Ensemble Studio Theatre, the Public and the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival.
